My husband and I spent an extended weekend here and absolutely loved it! I rarely leave reviews but after reading a few unfavorable comments I felt compelled. Was it perfect? Pretty close! Very unique! We ate at several of the restaurants and the food and service was amazing! The best part about the whole stay was the staff! Everyone and I mean everyone was friendly and helpful!! I definitely recommend and we will be back!!

Big Cypress lodge was bucket list item for my 20 year old daughter! She has been wanting to go for years, she even named one of our dogs Memphis in honor of the Bass Pro Pyramid. Let me just say it did not disappoint!! We booked a tree house room and it was beautiful!! The shower was huge and the rain fall shower head felt so good. Sadly i didn't get time to try out the beautiful bathtub. The balcony view of the store was great! We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the balcony both evenings. We ate at Wahlbergers the first night. The food was good and our waitress was nice. The next morning my husband and I enjoyed our complimentary coffee in the 3rd floor lobby which has the most incredible view of the store below. We even got to see the sturgeon being fed! That was neat! The second night we took the Sky High ride and enjoyed the observation deck and had dinner at the Lookout. Dinner was amazing! The food was incredible and the service was impeccable! We stayed out on the observation deck after dinner and watched a beautiful sunset. The hotel staff were all very nice. Our last night we encountered a front desk clerk that was extra amazing! She made my daughter's best friend's night!! We

I don't know how this hotel ever got a five-star rating. I guess you can buy that sort of rankings for a price. Just spent three nights here. The staff including the valets and the front desk were average at best. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large. Those were the good qualities. The linens they use are definitely not a five-star hotel kind of linen. The bathroom is one of the better features. I would say the toiletries they provide are nothing special. The worst part, to me was the lighting in the room. Let me tell you. Without using their horrible overhead light system you basically could not see from one side of the room to other with the lamps provided. There was no lighting on the side of the room where the dresser was. There was one lamp in the foyer and one lamp between the two beds. neither one of them put out enough light to do anything by. The overhead lights had a dimmer but they were just an awful light for such an expensive room. You had to turn on the overhead lights to get anything done regardless whether your spouse was still asleep or not. The restaurant they use for their breakfast, wahlburgers was a huge disappointm
